Engineering Design & Development, Cement plant technology, Utility oriented equipment design, Distillation Plant technology, Waste Utilization, Coke oven technology, Welding Inspection, Physical Testing of Engineering Materials.

Projects(Ongoing & Completed)

  • Development of appropriate product by studying the possible use of coir dust in oil industry with reference to North East India for absorption of oil spill (Collaborative project with Central Coir Research Institute, Kerala) as Principal Investigator.
  • Setting up of rural appropriate technology demonstration centre at Arunachal Pradesh as Principal Investigator.
  • Regional Mapping Carbon Stock, Sequestration and Sink Potential or Reserve Forest Ecosystem of Assam for Improvement of Ecosystem Health and Services as Principal Investigator.
  • Council of Science and Technology for Rural India (CSTRI) Centre of NEIST (GAP 0232) as Team Member.
  • Small community level low cost process from local biomass for iron and fluoride removal from bore well water of Assam (local –mass) as Co-Principal Investigator.
  • Setting up of Science and Technological Intervention in North East Region Technology Facilitation Centre (STINER TFC) at CSIR-NEIST Jorhat and its Spokes at NER States. Both STINER hub and spoke (Nagaland) are approved. Sanction is obtained for Hub at CSIR NEIST and one spoke at SASRD, Nagaland Sponsored by Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) as Co-chairman for the establishment.
  • Membrane Based Process Technology for Commercial Production of Biomolecules (CSIR –FTT) as Co-Principal Investigator.
  • In-situ bioremediation technology (CSIR –FTT) as Investigator.

  • Engineering of Disaster Mitigation and Health Monitoring for Safe & Smart Built Environment (EDMISSIBLE) (NEIST WP: Post Disaster Management – Design and Development of Transitory Houses for Disaster Vulnerable Rural Sectors in the North Eastern Region, TROY HORSE) (CSIR-Network) as Investigator.
  • Development of sustainable waste management technologies for chemical and allied industries.
