Notable Achievements

CNRS Postdoctoral Fellow (May 2007 to April 2008) at Institut de Recherche Interdisciplinaire (IRI), CNRS USR 3078, France. Research work was carried out in the topic “Nanostructured boron-doped diamond surfaces for applications in biosciences” sponsored by the ANR (National Research Agency), France.
“Peravadhanulu award” from Indian Institute of Mineral Engineers (IIME) for the best paper in the characterization category for the paper entitled “SEM-EDX Characterization of Some Graphite deposits of Arunachal Pradesh” by Sarat Ch. Das, Manash R. Das and Pinaki Sengupta presented by Dr. Manash R. Das in the IIME International Conference on Mineral Processing Technology, MPT 2011 held at Udaipur during 20-22 Oct 2011, INDIA.

Dr Purna K Boruah, awarded his Ph.D. degree under the faculty of Chemical Sciences in AcSIR under my supervision and selected for the prestigious JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship for Overseas Researchers 2022 in Chemical Science to work at Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan
One of my students, Dr Gitashree Darabdhar, DST-INSPIRE Fellow selected by DST, New Delhi to attend 9th HOPE MEETING WITH NOBEL LAUREATES held at Tokyo International Forum, Tokyo, Japan from February 26 to March 2, 2017 and organized by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).
Dr Gitashree Darabdhara, DST-INSPIRE Fellow of her PhD thesis entitled “Reduced Graphene Oxide Sheets Decorated with Bimetallic Nanoparticles: Synthesis, Characterization and their Applications” has been awarded BEST THESIS in AcSIR for the Year 2020 under the faculty of Chemical Sciences.
